Bandol is a wine region located along the east coast of Marseille and Cassis. It is internationally one of the most recognized regions of Provence where delicious wine is made. The Bandol AOC consists of 8 municipalities. The soil of silica and glue is characteristic of the vineyards within this municipality. It ensures that the soil is warm. in combination with the coastal climate, this region is very suitable for the maturation of Mourvèdre. This is also the most important grape variety in Bandol. For both the red and rosé wines, 50% of the blend must consist of Mourvèdre. However, most winemakers use a larger percentage of this grape. The blend is generally supplemented with Grenache or Cinsaut.
