The Côte Chalonnaise is a French wine region located in the department of Saône-et-Loire, north and south of the municipality of Chalon-sur-Saône. The region (together with the Basse-Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Mâconnais) belongs to the Burgundy wine region. In the area there are a number of vineyards that are more or less separated from each other over an area of approximately 4000 hectares. The wine region lies north of Chagny and is bordered by the Côte de Beaune in the south, towards Saint-Gengoux-le-National and the vineyards of the Mâconnais.
