After Bordeaux, Côtes du Rhône is the largest wine region
After Bordeaux, Côtes du Rhône is the largest wine region with no less than 35,000 hectares of vineyards. Mainly red wines (95%) are produced. The differences in soil, microclimate and grape varieties give great diversity in the wines. Côtes du Rhône wines come from the entire region although most wines come from the southern part. They are beautiful quality wines with a good concentration and complexity.
